emm...a big problem of this platform is that they reject their withdrawal request and block up your account. So investors are not advised to use this platform, for it can cause serious fund losses… You can have better investment platforms choices, and the most important factor is that if your funds can be withdrawn in a timely manner…

Unable to withdraw

When I wanted to withdraw, it asked for margins and risk funds. I paid the fees but was still unable to withdraw.

How We Rate Brokers: Our ratings are based on a combination of user feedback, expert analysis, and the availability of relevant data.

Broker Overview

Yuanta Securities (Hong Kong) Company Limited, often referred to as Yuanta, was founded over 20 years ago and has established itself as a significant entity in the Asian financial market. The broker primarily focuses on a range of trading instruments, including stocks from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the U.S., as well as futures and options. Yuanta operates on its proprietary trading platforms, such as Ewinner and YSHK SP Trader, catering to both retail and institutional clients. The broker is regulated by the SFC in Hong Kong, which adds a layer of credibility, although some reports suggest that it operates outside the scope of its regulatory license.

Detailed Analysis

Regulatory Regions

Yuanta is primarily regulated in Hong Kong by the SFC, which oversees its operations. However, there have been claims that it exceeds its licensed scope, particularly in dealing with forex trading, which raises red flags about its regulatory compliance. Users should be aware of the potential risks associated with trading through a broker that may not fully adhere to its regulatory mandates.

Deposit/Withdrawal Currencies

Yuanta offers various methods for depositing and withdrawing funds, including local bank transfers and overseas wire transfers. However, users have reported difficulties when attempting to withdraw their funds, often citing requests for additional fees or margins before processing withdrawals. This has led to a negative perception regarding the ease of accessing funds.

Minimum Deposit

The minimum deposit requirement at Yuanta varies depending on the account type, but it generally aligns with industry standards. New users should verify the specific requirements based on the services they intend to use.

Bonuses/Promotions

Yuanta's promotional offerings are not prominently featured in the available reviews. Users should inquire directly with the broker for any current promotions or bonuses that may apply to new accounts.

Tradable Asset Classes

Yuanta provides access to a wide array of asset classes, including Hong Kong stocks, U.S. stocks, futures, and options. This diversity allows traders to build a well-rounded portfolio. However, the absence of cryptocurrencies and certain other asset classes may limit options for some investors.

Costs (Spreads, Fees, Commissions)

The fee structure at Yuanta includes a commission of 0.25% on Hong Kong stock trades, with a minimum charge of 100 HKD. While this is relatively transparent, some users have expressed concerns about the overall cost structure being potentially high, especially for certain products.

Leverage

Yuanta typically offers leverage to enhance trading capabilities; however, the exact leverage ratios can differ based on the trading instruments and account types. As with any leveraged trading, users are advised to proceed with caution as it amplifies both potential profits and risks.

Allowed Trading Platforms

The primary trading platforms offered by Yuanta include Ewinner for desktop users and Ewinner Plus for mobile users. These platforms are designed to provide a user-friendly experience, but some reviews indicate that they may be less intuitive for beginners.

Restricted Regions

While Yuanta primarily operates in Hong Kong, traders from other regions should verify whether they can open accounts due to varying regulatory restrictions.

Available Customer Support Languages

Customer support at Yuanta is available in English and Chinese, with multiple channels for reaching out, including phone and email. However, users have reported long wait times and inconsistent responses, which can be frustrating for those seeking immediate assistance.
