Fortissio has to abide by the above rule and offer leverage up to 1:30 for forex majors in accordance with EU and EEA regulation. The platform features a good selection of technical analysis indicators, trading signals and the Trading Insider, which shows the percentage of clients with short and long positions. Still, the platform lacks some basic functionalities, standard with classical trading solutions like the MetaTrader4. Fortissio Forex Broker - Comprehensive Information Guide

1. Broker Overview

Fortissio, officially known as Vie Finance A.E.P.E.Y. S.A., was established in 2017 and operates as a financial services provider in the online trading space. The company is headquartered in Marousi, Greece, with a branch in Berlin, Germany. As a privately held entity, Fortissio focuses on delivering a range of trading services to retail clients, particularly in the European market.

The broker has made significant strides since its inception, aiming to provide a robust trading environment for its clients. Key milestones in its development include obtaining regulatory licenses from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) and the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). Fortissio specializes in offering a diverse array of financial instruments, including forex, CFDs, stocks, indices, and cryptocurrencies, catering to both novice and experienced traders.

The business model of Fortissio primarily revolves around retail forex trading and CFD contracts, allowing clients to speculate on price movements without owning the underlying assets. This model provides traders with flexibility and the potential for leveraged trading, making it an attractive option for those looking to engage in the financial markets.

2. Regulatory and Compliance Information

Fortissio operates under the regulatory oversight of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) in Greece, holding license number 4/792/20.7.2017. Additionally, it is registered under BaFin in Germany, which adds another layer of credibility to its operations. The regulatory framework under which Fortissio operates ensures compliance with the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II), promoting transparency and consumer protection.

The HCMC license allows Fortissio to offer its services across the European Economic Area (EEA), with a commitment to maintaining high standards of operational integrity. Client funds are kept in segregated accounts, ensuring that they are protected and not used for operational expenses. Fortissio also participates in an investor compensation scheme, providing further assurance to its clients.

To ensure compliance with international standards, Fortissio adheres to strict Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures. These measures are designed to verify the identities of clients and prevent illicit activities, reinforcing the broker's commitment to a secure trading environment.

Fortissio utilizes a proprietary trading platform known as Profit, which is designed to provide a user-friendly experience for traders. This web-based platform does not require downloads and is accessible across various devices, including desktops and mobile devices (iOS and Android).

  • Technical Analysis Tools: Various charting options and indicators for in-depth market analysis.
  • Market News and Updates: Real-time market news and economic calendar integration.
  • Customizable Interface: Users can personalize their trading environment to suit their preferences.

While the Profit platform serves as a solid entry point for traders, it does not support popular platforms like MetaTrader 4 or 5, which may limit advanced traders seeking sophisticated trading tools. The execution model is primarily market making, and the broker emphasizes quick trade execution to enhance the trading experience.

Fortissio offers multiple account types designed to cater to various trading needs, including:
