TFEX broker Accounts

TFEX Account Type

TFEX offers three types of trading accounts for its members:

  • Full License Member
    • Trading Scope: Can trade all products listed on TFEX for their own accounts and clients.
    • Requirements: Must obtain a derivatives agent license from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
    • Capital Requirements: Minimum paid-up capital and net liquid capital as prescribed by the SEC.
    • Limited License Member
      • Trading Scope: Can trade derivatives contracts for their own accounts and clients, limited to the underlying assets specified in their SEC-issued license.
      • Requirements: Must have a derivatives trading business license and meet capital requirements similar to full license members.
      • Trading Member
        • Trading Scope: Can trade derivatives contracts for their proprietary account only.
        • Role: Must provide liquidity as a market maker with expertise in futures trading or underlying business.
        • Capital Requirements: Minimum registered capital and shareholders' equity of at least THB 25 million.

        TFEX Broker Account Opening Process

        To open a TFEX trading account, follow these steps:

        • Prepare Required Documents:
          • A copy of your ID card.
          • A copy of house registration.
          • A copy of financial statements.
          • A copy of your bank passbook showing your account number for ATS.
          • A stamp duty.
          • Submit Application:
            • Complete the application form and submit it along with the required documents to the TFEX.
            • Membership Approval:
              • TFEX will review your application and documents. If approved, you will receive notification of your membership commencement date.
              • Account Setup:
                • Once membership is granted, you can set up your trading account within the TFEX system.
                • Funding Your Account:
                  • Deposit the required minimum capital based on your account type to begin trading.
