TDEX offers a specialized account known as the Fee Account, designed specifically for managing network fees related to transactions on the blockchain. This account is essential for covering transaction fees, which are typically around 700 sats/vbyte per trade. The Fee Account requires funding exclusively with l-BTC, and any deposits made with other asset types will not be utilized for fees but can still be withdrawn. It is recommended to fund this account with multiple UTXOs containing small amounts, such as 2000 or 5000 sats of l-BTC. The efficiency of concurrent transactions is directly dependent on the number of UTXOs owned by the Fee Account.
To open a Fee Account with TDEX, follow these steps:
Generate a Receiving Address: Use the command $ tdex fee deposit --num-of-addresses 1 to create a receiving address for your Fee Account. Omitting the --num-of-addresses flag will generate a single address by default.
Deposit Funds: Send l-BTC to the generated address(es). The daemon will automatically detect the funds once they are included in the mempool.
Check Balance: Use the command $ tdex fee balance to view your account balance, which will display unconfirmed and confirmed balances.
Withdraw Funds: If needed, withdraw funds from the Fee Account to designated receivers by using the command $ tdex fee withdraw --password password --receivers '[{“asset”: “144c654344aa716d6f3abcc1ca90e5641e4e2a7f633bc09fe3baf64585819a49”, “amount”: 10000, “address”: “tex1qr34j6jpqfkct6a2qtu77jn4fqsnxg2hstk6wq”}]'.
By following these steps, you can efficiently manage your Fee Account on the TDEX platform. For further details, you can refer to the TDEX documentation.
