Marketiva Review 1

Marketiva is selling their own domains... From what I've found online, this company is very unreliable. Although I haven't seen anyone claiming to be scammed yet... anyway I would definitely be vigilant when choosing a forex broker. The safety is the top priority compared with all other trading conditions.

How We Rated the Broker: Ratings are derived from a synthesis of user feedback, expert reviews, and factual data.

Broker Overview

Founded in 1999, Marketiva has established itself as a notable player in the forex trading landscape, primarily targeting novice traders. The broker offers a proprietary trading platform known as Streamster, which is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive. Marketiva provides access to a limited range of trading instruments, focusing mainly on forex pairs and a few commodities. However, it is important to note that the broker is currently not regulated by major financial authorities, which raises concerns about its trustworthiness.

Detailed Analysis

Regulatory Regions

Marketiva operates under different regulations depending on the geographical location of its clients. Previously registered in the British Virgin Islands, it now functions under AGEA in Montenegro. The lack of stringent regulatory oversight has been a point of contention among users, as many express concerns about the broker's reliability and transparency.

Deposit/Withdrawal Options

Marketiva supports various deposit methods, including wire transfers, e-gold, and web money. Notably, the minimum deposit requirement is as low as $1, making it accessible for beginner traders. However, withdrawal fees can be steep, with charges up to $14 for wire transfers and $7 for other methods. Users have reported delays in processing withdrawals, which can lead to frustration.

Bonuses/Promotions

New clients can benefit from a sign-up bonus of $5 upon account registration, which is a unique feature aimed at attracting novice traders. However, the lack of ongoing promotions or incentives may limit the appeal for more experienced traders.

Tradable Asset Classes

Marketiva provides a limited selection of tradable assets, with less than 20 currency pairs available. This restriction may not cater well to traders looking for diversity in their trading portfolios. Additionally, users have reported that the spreads for major pairs range between 2-4 pips, which is relatively standard but not competitive compared to other brokers.

Costs (Spreads, Fees, Commissions)

While Marketiva does not charge commissions on trades, the spreads can widen significantly during volatile market conditions. Users have noted that slippage is common, especially during major news releases, which can impact trading outcomes negatively.

Leverage

The broker offers a leverage ratio of up to 1:100, which is moderate. While this may be suitable for novice traders, more experienced traders might find this leverage insufficient compared to other brokers offering higher ratios.

Allowed Trading Platforms

Marketiva primarily utilizes its proprietary Streamster platform, which has received mixed reviews. While it is designed for ease of use, many users have reported technical issues, including frequent disconnections and slow execution times. The absence of more widely recognized platforms like MT4 or MT5 is a drawback for traders accustomed to those environments.

Restricted Regions

Marketiva does not accept clients from the United States due to regulatory restrictions. This limitation can be a significant factor for U.S. traders considering opening an account.

Available Customer Support Languages

Customer support is available in multiple languages; however, many users have expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of support. The primary mode of communication is through email and a public chat room, which some users find inadequate for resolving urgent issues.

Detailed Breakdown

Account Conditions

Marketiva's low minimum deposit requirement is appealing, but the lack of competitive spreads and high withdrawal fees can deter serious traders. Many users have raised concerns about the broker's transparency regarding account conditions.

Tools and Resources

The tools provided, including the Streamster platform, are user-friendly but lack advanced features that experienced traders may seek. The absence of a demo account option also limits the ability for new users to practice trading strategies.

Customer Service and Support

Support has been rated poorly by users, with many citing long response times and inadequate assistance. The reliance on a public chat room for support has also raised concerns about privacy and the effectiveness of service.

Trading Setup (Experience)

Users have reported mixed experiences with trade execution, often citing delays and slippage. The platform's reliability has been questioned, particularly during high-volume trading periods.

Trustworthiness

The lack of regulation and mixed reviews regarding withdrawal processes contribute to a lower trust rating for Marketiva. Users have reported difficulties in withdrawing funds, which raises red flags for potential clients.

User Experience

Overall, while the user interface of the Streamster platform is designed for ease of use, technical issues and customer service challenges have led to a less favorable user experience.

In conclusion, while Marketiva offers some attractive features for beginner traders, significant concerns regarding reliability, customer service, and regulatory oversight warrant cautious consideration. Users are advised to conduct thorough research and consider alternative brokers that may offer a more stable trading environment.
