        RBC Direct Investing Broker Account Opening Process

          Opening an account with RBC Direct Investing is a straightforward process:

        • Eligibility: Ensure you meet the eligibility requirements to open an account.
        • Online Application:
          • If you are an RBC client, sign in to your online banking to save time.
          • Select the type of account you wish to open (TFSA, FHSA, RRSP, etc.).
          • Complete the application form online, verifying your identity through the Interac® verification service.
          • Transfer from Another Brokerage: If transferring an account, move $15,000 or more to receive reimbursement for up to $200 in transfer fees.
          • In-Person Option: You can also visit an RBC Royal Bank branch or RBC Direct Investing Investor Centre to open an account in person.
          • Security Guarantee: RBC offers a 100% reimbursement for any unauthorized transactions made through their online platform.
