    CME Group Broker Account Opening Process

      To open a broker account with CME Group, follow these steps:

    • Choose a Registered Futures Broker: Select a broker that supports the products you are interested in trading.
    • Complete the Application: Submit a typewritten electronic application that includes educational, employment, and residential history, along with a financial statement.
    • Pay the Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of $2,000 must be wired.
    • Provide Required Documents: Include a signed letter of intent, a current trading account statement, and a copy of an unexpired passport.
    • Account Approval: Once your application is approved, you have 30 days to acquire a membership via purchase, lease from a current member, or firm transfer.
    • Set Up Trading Account: After acquiring a membership, set up your trading account with the broker, specifying the necessary permissions, market types, and credit controls.
