This platform allowed me to start really making some money. Before I used to trade with a lot of other brokers but never made money. Their trading platform is very easy to use and friendly for newbies. Those who want to trade equities, options, futures and forex, definitely should try this platform.

How We Rate Brokers: Our ratings are based on a combination of user feedback, expert opinions, and factual data regarding the brokers offerings.

Broker Overview

Founded in 2004, Venom Trading is a U.S.-based brokerage that caters to a wide range of trading needs, including stocks, options, futures, and forex. The broker operates using the Trader Workstation (TWS) platform provided by Interactive Brokers, offering a robust and customizable trading experience. Venom Trading is regulated by the SEC, FINRA, NFA, and SIPC, ensuring a degree of security for traders. The minimum deposit to open an account is $5,000, or $3,000 for those aged 25 or younger.

Detailed Overview

Regulatory Regions

Venom Trading is primarily regulated in the United States, holding licenses from the SEC, FINRA, NFA, and SIPC. This regulatory framework is crucial for ensuring the safety of clients' funds and maintaining ethical trading practices.

Deposit/Withdrawal Currencies

Venom accepts deposits and withdrawals in USD, with options including wire transfers, ACH transfers, and online bill payments. However, it does not support modern payment methods such as credit cards or cryptocurrencies, which may limit convenience for some users.

Minimum Deposit

To open an account, Venom requires a minimum deposit of $5,000, which is relatively high compared to many other brokers. For clients under 25, the minimum is reduced to $3,000. This requirement may be a barrier for novice traders looking to enter the market.

Bonuses/Promotions

Currently, Venom Trading does not offer any bonuses or promotional incentives, which is consistent with many reputable brokers that prioritize transparency and regulatory compliance over promotional gimmicks.

Tradeable Asset Classes

Venom provides access to a diverse range of asset classes, including U.S. stocks, options, futures, and forex. However, it does not offer foreign stocks or cryptocurrencies, which may limit trading opportunities for some users.

Costs (Spreads, Fees, Commissions)

Venom's commission structure is competitive, with fees set at $0.004 per share for equities, $0.75 per options contract, and $1.25 per futures contract. Forex trading incurs a cost of 0.20 basis points with a minimum of $2. However, some users have noted that the overall cost structure, including spreads, can be higher than other brokers, which may affect profitability.

Leverage

The broker offers a maximum leverage of 1:4, which is lower than what many other brokers provide. This conservative approach may be beneficial for risk management but could limit potential returns for more experienced traders.

Allowed Trading Platforms

Venom Trading supports three trading platforms: Venom Web, Venom Desktop, and Venom Mobile. Each platform offers unique features tailored to different trading styles. However, the absence of popular platforms like MT4 or MT5 might deter some traders accustomed to those systems.

Restricted Regions

Venom Trading does not accept clients from certain regions, particularly those restricted by U.S. regulations. This limitation may affect international traders seeking access to U.S. markets.

Available Customer Service Languages

Customer support is available primarily in English, with representatives accessible via phone, email, and live chat. However, the lack of 24/7 support has been a point of contention among users, particularly for those needing assistance outside regular business hours.
