Tiger Brokers offers two primary types of trading accounts: Cash Account and Margin Account.

• Cash Account
• Allows trading with cash only.
• No margin trading or short selling is permitted.
• Futures and options that require financing cannot be traded.
• Unlimited T+0 trading is allowed.
• Option trading privileges can be opened after completing an options trading assessment.
• Margin Account
• Supports margin trading and short selling with leverage up to 4 times.
• All products available at Tiger Brokers can be traded.
• No limit on the number or frequency of T+0 trades.
• A cash account can be upgraded to a margin account if the account holder is over 21 and has a full-time job.

Tiger Brokers Broker Account Opening Process

To open an account with Tiger Brokers, follow these steps:

• Access Account Opening
• Use the Tiger Trade app or visit the official website to start the application process.
• Fill in Personal Information
• Enter your mobile number or email address.
• Choose your account type (Cash or Margin).
• Upload your identity document and proof of residential address.
• Approval Process
• The account opening usually takes 1 to 3 business days.
• You will receive an SMS notification once your account is successfully opened.
• Deposit Funds
• After account approval, deposit funds into your trading account to begin trading.
• Additional Requirements for U.S. Markets
• Complete Form W-8 BEN if you plan to trade U.S. markets to declare non-U.S. origin for tax purposes.
