Quite a decent Broker from Bulgaria, pricing and execution were surprisingly good, no issues with deposits or withdrawals so far. Had some trouble with changing the leverage but that was sorted out pretty quickly.

Alaric Securities 2025 Review: Everything You Need to Know

Alaric Securities has garnered mixed reviews from users and experts alike, reflecting both its strengths and weaknesses in the competitive brokerage landscape. Founded in 2011 and based in Sofia, Bulgaria, Alaric Securities offers a variety of trading platforms and access to U.S. markets, including stocks, ETFs, and options. However, concerns about its regulatory status and the cost of its trading platforms have raised red flags for potential clients.

Broker Overview

Alaric Securities is a broker-dealer that has been operational since 2011. It primarily focuses on providing direct market access (DMA) to U.S. markets. The brokerage offers proprietary trading platforms such as Hammer, Hammer Lite, and Sterling Trader, catering to different trading styles and preferences. However, it does not support popular platforms like MT4 or MT5, which may deter some traders. Alaric provides access to a wide range of assets, including U.S. stocks, ETFs, and options, but its regulatory oversight is limited to the FSC in Bulgaria, which has raised concerns regarding its trustworthiness.

Detailed Information

Regulated Regions: Alaric Securities is regulated by the Financial Supervision Commission in Bulgaria, which may not provide the same level of investor protection as more established regulators like the FCA or SEC.

Deposit/Withdrawal Currencies: The primary funding methods include bank wire transfers and credit/debit cards. However, the specifics regarding cryptocurrency deposits are not well-documented.

Minimum Deposit: There is no minimum deposit requirement for the Hammer Lite and Hammer Lite Plus platforms, but a $1,000 minimum is needed for the Hammer platform and $2,000 for the Sterling Trader platform. Portfolio margin accounts require a minimum deposit of $100,000.

  • Customer Service and Support: Reviews indicate that customer service is a weak point for Alaric Securities, with some users expressing dissatisfaction with response times and support quality.

  • Trading Setup (Experience): The trading experience is generally positive, with users appreciating the range of tools available. However, the high costs associated with using the platforms have been a significant concern.
