SEB Lithuania broker Accounts

SEB Lithuania Account Type

SEB Lithuania offers two main types of securities accounts for clients: Client Omnibus Account and Client Owner Account.

  • Client Omnibus Account:
    • Opened on behalf of AB SEB Bankas in the central securities depository Nasdaq CSD SE.
    • Securities owned by the investor are segregated from the assets owned by the central securities depository and its participants, but not from other clients' assets.
    • Suitable for clients who prefer not to pay account opening and monthly management fees, as these are not applied.
    • Client Owner Account:
      • Opened in the name of the investor in the central securities depository Nasdaq CSD SE.
      • Securities owned by the investor are fully segregated from all other persons and entities.
      • Monthly management fees apply for this account type.

      SEB Broker Account Opening Process

      To open a broker account with SEB Lithuania, follow these steps:

      • Eligibility: Ensure your company has a clear connection to Lithuania and can provide necessary documentation as per the KYC (Know Your Customer) principle.

      • Documentation Required:

        • Access code from the State Enterprise Centre of Registers for electronic certified extracts.
        • Original or a copy of the company's establishment documents (statutes, provisions, etc.).
        • Identity document of the person signing the contract (passport, identity card).
        • Company seal (if required).
        • Legal entity questionnaire and detailed ownership structure.
        • Account Opening Methods:
          • Online: If you are already a private customer, log into your internet bank and select "Open Business Account." This process takes approximately 20 minutes.
          • Video Meeting: Schedule a video meeting for personal service recommendations, taking up to 60 minutes.
          • In-Person Meeting: Book a meeting at a bank branch, which also takes around 60 minutes plus waiting time.
          • Processing Time: The account opening process may take up to 10 working days, especially if additional documentation is required.

          • Confirmation: Once your account is opened, you will receive confirmation and can start using the SEB's business services immediately.
