  • OCBC Securities Broker Account Opening Process

    To open an account with OCBC Securities, follow these steps:

    • Eligibility Requirements:
      • Must be at least 18 years old (with a minimum deposit of SGD 1,000 for those aged 18-20).
      • Must hold an OCBC deposit account (except for US citizens, EU residents, and persons residing in the EEA).
      • Account Application:
        • Online Application:

        • Apply via the OCBC app or internet banking. Log in and navigate to the equities section to access the online application.

        • Select a reference account for giro arrangements for trade settlements.

        • Branch Application:

        • Visit any OCBC bank branch with the necessary identification documents (NRIC, passport, etc.) and recent bank statements.

        • Mail Application:

        • Complete the application forms and submit them along with the required identification documents to OCBC Securities.

        • Documents Required:
          • Original identification documents (NRIC/passport for Singaporeans, valid passport and residence pass for foreigners).
          • Recent bank statement or CPF statement.
          • Processing Time:
            • Online applications submitted via the OCBC app may be opened on the same day if successful.
            • Mail applications may take longer and should be sent to OCBC Securities Private Limited, 18 Church Street #01-00, OCBC Centre South, Singapore 049479.
            • Account Activation:
              • Once your application is approved, you will receive a confirmation, and you can start trading immediately via the OCBC app.
