• Joint Account: This account can be opened by two or more individuals, allowing them to pool their resources and invest together.

• Non-Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) Account: This account is specifically for Bangladeshi citizens living abroad, allowing them to invest in the local stock market.

BSEC Broker Account Opening Process

To open a brokerage account with BSEC, follow these steps:

• Visit the CDBL Website: Go to the Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL) website.
• Select Depository Participant: Choose the “Depository Participant” option to begin the account opening process.
• Fill in Required Information: Provide necessary details, including your National Identity (NID) card number. Some information will be auto-filled based on your NID.
• Banking Information: Enter your banking details for transactions.
• Confirmation Message: If the submitted information is correct, you will receive a confirmation message.
• Account Opening Fee: Pay the account opening fee of BDT 450 through online payment systems.
• Documentation: Submit required documents, such as a filled-up BO account opening form, passport-sized photographs, and a copy of your NID or passport.
• Verification: Your documents will be verified, and once approved, your account will be opened.

By following these steps, investors can easily set up a brokerage account and begin trading in the Bangladesh stock market.
