Charles Schwab Broker Account Opening Process

  To open a Schwab One® Trust Account, follow these steps:

  • Gather Required Information: Before starting the application, ensure you have the following:
    • Social Security number
    • Driver's license number
    • Employer's name and address (if applicable)
    • Statement information for any funds you wish to transfer
    • Contact information, birth date, and Social Security number of each trustee
    • Complete the Application:
      • For revocable trusts (e.g., living trusts), you can use the online application.
      • For other types of trusts, download the Schwab One Trust Account application from their website.
      •   Submit the Application: After filling out the application, submit it online. You will receive your account number once your application is completed and approved.
