I saw an ad about this company earlier and searched for it on wikifx. I found that for me at least, this company is not worth considering, because it does not have any regulatory information nor that I can find it on the website some important information, such as leverage, minimum deposit, trading platform, etc. I think this shows that the company is not very sincere.

Akuna Capital is a young company specializing in trading and technologies, actually, I don’t know much about this company, not to mention using it… I looked through its official website, lacking of essential information, fees, trading software, and more…

Broker Overview

Founded in 2011, Akuna Capital is a proprietary trading firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The firm specializes in derivatives market-making and has expanded its operations globally, including offices in Sydney, Boston, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Akuna Capital offers a variety of trading services, focusing on options, commodities, currencies, and treasuries across multiple exchanges, including CME and HKEX. However, it is worth noting that Akuna Capital does not utilize popular trading platforms like MT4 or MT5, which may limit accessibility for some traders. The firm's regulatory status is also a point of concern, as it has faced issues with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in Hong Kong, leading to a revocation of its license for futures contracts.

Detailed Analysis

Regulatory Regions

Akuna Capital operates primarily in the United States and has a presence in several international markets. However, the firm has faced regulatory challenges, particularly in Hong Kong, where its license was revoked, raising questions about its overall compliance and trustworthiness. According to a report from WikiFX, the broker has a low regulatory score, indicating potential risks for traders.

Deposit/Withdrawal Currencies

The firm supports various payment methods, including Visa, MasterCard, bank transfers, Skrill, and Neteller. However, specific information regarding minimum deposit requirements is not readily available, which may deter potential clients seeking transparency.

Promotions and Bonuses

There is limited information about current promotions or bonuses offered by Akuna Capital. This lack of promotional incentives could be a disadvantage compared to competitors who frequently offer attractive bonuses to attract new clients.

Tradable Asset Classes

Akuna Capital provides access to a diverse range of asset classes, including forex, commodities, options, and cryptocurrencies. This variety could appeal to traders looking for a one-stop shop for their trading needs. However, the absence of popular trading platforms may limit user engagement.

Costs (Spreads, Fees, Commissions)

User reviews indicate that Akuna Capital has competitive pricing structures, but specific details on spreads, fees, and commissions are not extensively documented. This lack of transparency can be a significant drawback for traders who prioritize cost-effectiveness in their trading strategies.

Leverage

The leverage options available at Akuna Capital have not been explicitly detailed in the sources reviewed. This ambiguity can be concerning for traders who rely on leverage to enhance their trading positions.

Allowed Trading Platforms

As mentioned, Akuna Capital does not support widely-used trading platforms like MT4 or MT5, which could alienate potential clients who are accustomed to these interfaces. Instead, the firm focuses on proprietary technology solutions, which may not appeal to all traders.

Restricted Regions

While Akuna Capital has a global presence, specific information regarding restricted regions is not detailed in the sources. This lack of clarity could pose issues for potential clients in certain jurisdictions.

Available Customer Support Languages

Customer support is available primarily in English, and users have reported slow response times, which may hinder effective communication during critical trading moments.
