KTrade offers several types of trading accounts tailored to meet the diverse needs of investors in Pakistan. Here are the main types of accounts available:
Standard Brokerage Account: This is the most common type, allowing investors to deposit or withdraw cash at any time. It provides access to various investment options and enables professionals to execute transactions on behalf of the investor with their consent.
Margin Account: In this account, a broker lends cash to the investor to buy securities, using the purchased securities as collateral. This account allows for the potential of increased profits through leverage.
Custodial Account: Designed for minors, this account is maintained by an adult until the child reaches adulthood. There are no penalties for withdrawal, and it has no deposit limits.
Retirement Account: This type of account is more liquid and stable, focusing on long-term savings. Withdrawals are restricted until the investor reaches a certain age.
Education IRA: This is a tax-advantaged savings account for a child's education, exempt from taxation, and available for children under 18.
Discretionary Account: Similar to a standard account, but allows professionals to make investment decisions on behalf of the investor without needing prior consent.
KTrade also offers Sahulat Accounts for budget-conscious investors, with a trading limit of 10 lac rupees and minimal documentation requirements. Additionally, RDA Accounts cater to non-resident Pakistanis, allowing them to invest in the Pakistani stock market with tax-free profits and no withholding tax on withdrawals.
