• Agent Account: For individual agents who are licensed to sell Kaiser Permanente products, providing access to manage their clients and submit membership transactions.

Kaiser Permanente Broker Account Opening Process

　　To open a broker account with Kaiser Permanente, follow these steps:

• Request Appointment:
• Option 1: Email the broker support team at broker.support-mas@kp.org, specifying the type of appointment (agency, agent, or both) and your contact details. Expect to receive the necessary documents within 2 business days.
• Option 2: Download and complete the required documents, including a contact sheet, IRS Form W-9, signed broker agreement, valid health insurance license, proof of errors and omissions insurance, and Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) certificate. Email the completed documentation to broker.support-mas@kp.org.

• 　　Processing Time: Appointment paperwork is typically processed within 10 business days after receipt of completed documentation.

• 　　Make Changes: To modify existing licenses or appointment paperwork, email broker.support-mas@kp.org with your broker NPN, agent ID, and details of the changes needed.

• 　　Verification: If you need to verify your appointment status or apply for a broker license, refer to the respective state insurance administration websites for Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
