Been with Sheer Markets for almost two years now. They've got really good liquidity, so the price spreads aren't too bad. But listen up, even though I'm a seasoned trader, I wouldn't suggest cranking up the leverage too high. It might seem like a quick way to make more money, but it can also wipe you out in a flash.

How We Rate Brokers: Our ratings are based on a combination of user reviews, expert analyses, and factual data regarding the broker's offerings.

Broker Overview

Sheer Markets, officially known as Sheer Markets (Cyprus) Ltd, is a regulated forex and CFD broker established in 2019. The broker operates under the supervision of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), which is a notable regulatory body in the EU. Sheer Markets provides access to the widely used MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform, allowing traders to engage in various financial markets, including forex, commodities, indices, and cryptocurrencies. The broker's regulatory status adds a layer of credibility, but user experiences suggest that there are areas needing improvement.

Detailed Section

Regulatory Regions

Sheer Markets is primarily regulated by CySEC, allowing it to offer services across the European Union. Additionally, it is licensed by the Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA) for global clients. This dual regulatory framework aims to enhance trust and safety for traders.

Deposit/Withdrawal Currencies

The broker accepts deposits and withdrawals in USD and EUR. However, it does not support a wide range of cryptocurrencies for trading, which might be a limitation for some traders.

Minimum Deposit

Sheer Markets requires a minimum deposit of $200 for its Classic and Prime accounts, while the Classic Plus and Prime Plus accounts require a significantly higher minimum deposit of $10,000. This range may deter novice traders or those with limited capital.

Bonuses/Promotions

Due to CySEC regulations, Sheer Markets does not offer bonuses or promotional incentives, which is a common practice among regulated brokers in Europe.

Tradable Asset Classes

Traders can access a variety of assets, including forex pairs, commodities, indices, and cryptocurrencies. However, the range of cryptocurrencies is somewhat limited compared to other brokers.

Costs (Spreads, Fees, Commissions)

Sheer Markets operates with a mixed pricing structure. Classic accounts charge spreads starting from 1.2 pips, while Prime accounts offer raw spreads from 0.0 pips but include commissions. For example, forex CFDs incur a commission of $4 per lot per side for Prime accounts and $3.5 for Prime Plus accounts. This fee structure may appeal to high-volume traders but could be less favorable for casual traders.

Leverage

The maximum leverage available for retail clients is 1:30, in line with EU regulations. Professional clients can access higher leverage up to 1:100, but specific criteria must be met to qualify for this higher leverage.

Allowed Trading Platforms

Sheer Markets supports trading on the MetaTrader 5 platform, which is well-regarded for its advanced features and user-friendly interface. However, the absence of MetaTrader 4 (MT4) may be a drawback for traders accustomed to that platform.

Restricted Regions

While Sheer Markets is open to a wide range of global clients, it is crucial to check local regulations, as some jurisdictions may impose restrictions on trading with certain brokers.

Available Customer Service Languages

Customer support is available in multiple languages, and clients can reach out via email, phone, or through an online contact form. However, user reviews indicate that the responsiveness and effectiveness of customer support could be improved.
