Opening a Fidelity brokerage account is straightforward and can be completed in a few simple steps:
Visit Fidelity's Website: Navigate to the Fidelity homepage and click on "Open an Account."
Select Account Type: Choose the type of account you wish to open (e.g., Brokerage Account).
Fill in Personal Information: Provide your personal details, including your name, address, email, social security number, and employment information.
Set Account Preferences: Decide whether the account will be individual or jointly owned. If joint, enter the co-owners information.
Review and Confirm: Review all provided information and agree to the terms and conditions. This includes the customer agreement and electronic delivery agreement.
Fund Your Account: Once your account is opened, link your bank account to transfer funds. Expect it to take about two business days for electronic transfers to be available for trading.
