SDX offers a trading account structure that allows users to buy and sell options seamlessly. The account types include options trading accounts where users can trade call and put options. To participate in options trading, users must fund their accounts with the underlying asset to buy calls and with USDC to buy puts. For example, if a user wants to trade mSOL call options, they must fund their account with mSOL. Additionally, users can withdraw funds from their trading accounts at any time, but they need to close any open short option positions to free up collateral before withdrawal.
To open a trading account with SDX, follow these steps:
Visit the SDX Trading Application: Go to app.sdx.markets/trade to access the trading application.
Connect Your Solana Wallet: Click on the top right corner of the application to select and connect your desired Solana wallet.
Fund Your Trading Account: Click on the "available balance" button in the top right corner and select "deposit." Choose the asset you wish to trade. Remember, each option market requires the underlying asset for calls and USDC for puts.
Withdraw Funds: To withdraw funds, click on the "withdraw" button on the trading account balance page. Withdrawals are processed instantly, but ensure that any open short option positions are closed first to free up collateral.
