        InvestSMART Broker Account Opening Process

        To open an account with InvestSMART, follow these steps:

        • Choose Account Type: Decide whether you want a PMA or a single asset class portfolio. Note that each PMA can only hold one diversified portfolio, but multiple single asset class portfolios can be included.

        • Gather Required Information:

          • Full name
          • Date of birth
          • Residential address
          • Phone number (landline/mobile)
          • Email address
          • Tax File Number (TFN) or Tax Identification Number (TIN)
          • Australian bank account details (BSB & account number)
          • One additional source of identification (e.g., Australian license, Medicare card, or passport)
          • Complete the Application:
            • Specify your initial investment amount.
            • Select the investment model(s) and allocation(s).
            • Indicate any income preference and set up a regular contribution or withdrawal plan if desired.
            • Submit Application: After completing the online application form, submit it for review. InvestSMART will contact you to confirm your application and provide funding details.

            • Funding Your Account: Use the BPAY system for your initial funding. Ensure you keep your BPAY details for future contributions.

            • Account Activation: Once your funds are received and processed, your account will be activated, and you can start managing your investments online.
