Asia Securities offers various types of accounts tailored to meet the needs of different investors. The primary account types include:

  • CDS Account: Required for trading on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE). This account allows clients to buy and sell shares listed on the CSE.
  • Individual Account: For local individuals who are citizens of Sri Lanka, allowing them to trade in the local market.
  • Corporate Account: Designed for companies incorporated under the Companies Act of Sri Lanka, enabling them to trade on behalf of the business.
  • Non-Resident Account: For Sri Lankan citizens residing outside Sri Lanka, allowing them to invest in the local stock market.
  • Foreign Company Account: For companies not incorporated in Sri Lanka, allowing them to participate in the CSE.
  • Asia Securities Broker Account Opening Process

    Opening an account with Asia Securities can be done through two primary methods:

    Method 1: Paperless, Digital Account Opening

    • Download the CSE Mobile App: Start the application process through the app.
    • Fill in Personal Information: Provide your name, residential information, bank details, and employment information.
    • Complete the PEP Questionnaire: Answer the Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) questionnaire.
    • Upload Required Documents: Include a selfie, your National Identity Card (NIC), proof of residency, and bank statement.
    • Review Terms and Conditions: Carefully read and confirm the terms before submitting your application.
    • Method 2: Register via Email

      • Download Account Opening Forms: Obtain the necessary forms from the Asia Securities website.
      • Complete the Forms: Fill in the required information accurately.
      • Submit Forms via Email: Send the completed forms along with the relevant documents to newclients@asiasecurities.lk.
      • Funding Your Account

        Once your CDS account is opened, you can fund it through:

        • Online Fund Transfer
        • Cheque
        • Direct Deposit to designated banks.

        • Nations Trust Bank
        • Sampath Bank
